An ELD question can affect a driver’s next stop, the dispatcher’s plan and the Safety team’s follow-up. Your support staff need to understand the record, speak with the driver and keep the right teams informed.
Your company’s contract sets the duties, working days, shifts and reporting contacts. Coverage can range from a weekday morning shift to 24/7, depending on the staffing arrangement you agree.

Management questions
- Which ELD platform does your company use, and where do drivers need the most assistance?
- Which shifts, working days and time zones need coverage?
- Do you need staff through Magellan or someone your company will hire directly?
- Who should receive technical questions, Safety concerns and dispatch decisions?
Problems this solves
- Drivers have ELD questions while dispatch is occupied with loads and appointments.
- Log questions pass between people without anyone following them through.
- Open issues are lost between shifts or repeated without their previous context.
- Your team needs additional ELD capacity or help recruiting for the role.

Common questions
What is the difference between staffing and recruitment?
With staffing, Magellan provides people for the agreed ELD role and coverage. With recruitment, your company pays a one-time fee for the search and candidate introductions, then makes the hiring decision and hires the person directly.
Can you provide 24/7 ELD support?
We can arrange 24/7 coverage or more limited shifts, including a Monday-to-Friday morning shift. Coverage depends on your company’s needs and the agreed contract; it is not automatically included in every service.
What does the person do each day?
Daily priorities depend on your workload and the shift being covered. For example, staff can help a driver with an ELD issue or gather trip information for dispatch. Your company defines the duties, reporting routine and escalation contacts.
Do experienced candidates still complete your selection process?
Yes. Candidates we introduce, including experienced applicants, complete the applicable written questions in English, learning assessments and a meeting. Your company makes the final hiring decision; completing selection does not guarantee placement.
Is full training included in the recruitment fee?
Full role training is an additional service charged to the hiring company. The offer distinguishes the recruitment work from any extra training; candidates are not charged your recruitment or additional training fee.
Does ELD support include changing driver logs?
Staff identify entries needing clarification and assist with the lawful, authorized correction process. Records must reflect the driver’s actual activity; the role does not allow unrestricted changes or concealed activity.
