Magellan
Trucking TMS for the whole company.
CarrierFlow is transportation management software for US trucking companies. Plan and track loads, manage driver and equipment records, handle billing and settlements, and coordinate the work across your departments.
CarrierFlow TMS by Magellan
Dispatch, drivers, Safety, Fleet, Accounting and training in one platform.
See which assignments, approvals and document requests need attention. Give each team the tools and access for its role, and managers a view of open actions.
Plan the work. See what needs attention.
Less chasing. Clear next steps.
How the departments work together
- An assignment depends on driver and equipment status. Billing depends on delivery documents. A revised procedure needs the right people to read it. When those details sit in separate files and conversations, staff have to ask for the same information again.
- CarrierFlow connects those details to the next task. Assign responsibility, set approval steps and track completion across departments. Staff can work from the load, driver or equipment information the task needs, while managers can see what is waiting.

Dispatch, drivers and the office in sync.
Give each team a view of its own work and the details it needs from others. Dispatch can find a driver update, Accounting can check a charge, and Safety can see whether an assigned response is complete.
Get delivery documents ready for billing.
Review the rate confirmation, bill of lading and proof of delivery together. Assign missing paperwork to the person responsible, then create the invoice from approved load charges and attach its supporting documents.
- Know which deliveries are ready to invoice.
Understand what the load earns and costs.
Follow customer invoices, payments, driver pay, fuel, expenses and repair charges. Use the focused income-and-expenses view for everyday work, or open the accounting desks, ledger and financial reports for a closer look.
- Check a cost against its source document.
Put daily driver tasks in one place.
Drivers use their phones to accept assignments, update stops, send documents, complete inspections and view pay statements. Agreements, company instructions and assigned learning stay accessible through the same driver hub.
- Send stop updates and paperwork to the office.
Follow a Safety finding through to completion.
Give each missing record, violation or incident an assigned response. Route notices and training to the people involved, and show Dispatch any restriction that affects the assignment. Keep the supporting evidence and completion review with the finding.
- See the response, responsible person and outcome.
Put the current document within reach.
Keep a policy with its published version, a delivery document with its load, and a signed agreement with the person it concerns. Staff and drivers can find the material they are allowed to use, together with its approval or signing history.
- Find the right file and the version that applies.
Keep the conversation with the work.
Use load conversations, department channels and driver notices to discuss the task at hand. Send billing messages under your company's identity and retain the message history alongside the documents and details the team needs.
- Find the message beside the load or document.
Follow a load from booking to payment.
Book
Enter the customer, references, stops, equipment and charges. Attach the rate confirmation so the agreed work and price stay with the load.
Dispatch
Compare driver and equipment availability, check assignment restrictions and send the load. The driver can accept or decline it through the hub.
Move
Follow tracking, stop updates and check calls. Handle delays and appointment changes with the load details already available.
Deliver
Collect the proof of delivery and other required documents. Check the submission and request anything still needed to prepare the bill.
Invoice
Issue the invoice with the carrier's invoice number, load number and broker reference. Send the supporting packet to the customer or factoring company.
Settle
Calculate driver pay under the applicable pay plan, including approved additions and authorized deductions. Review, approve and lock the settlement before the pay run.
Reconcile
Apply customer receipts, record payments and match bank-statement entries. Review the books and retain the history of corrections and period close.
Trucking TMS features, by department.

A violation needs a response
Log the finding, apply the company's response rules and notify the driver and responsible teams. Assign training or a restriction where required, and keep the evidence for review. Any proposed fine-related charge follows disclosure, acknowledgment and approval requirements.
A document needs renewal
Identify the expiring item and assign its replacement. The driver submits the new document, the office checks it, and the approved version becomes available in the document book and reports. Reminder history stays with the task.
A defect needs a repair
Assess the driver's report and send the repair task to Fleet. Dispatch sees the equipment status, the work order retains completion evidence, and Accounting receives the costs and amounts to recover from other payers.
An inspection reveals a recurring problem
Examine the cause, assign corrective action and revise the procedure where needed. Route the revision for approval, arrange acknowledgments and learning, then obtain an independent check that the response worked.
An extra charge affects billing and pay
Check the delivery evidence and accessorial request. Once approved, carry the customer charge into billing and the driver's pay treatment into settlement, with the supporting explanation attached.
A driver questions a pay line
Open the question with the statement, pay period and disputed amount. Accounting can examine the calculation, record its response and keep an authorized adjustment with the resolution.
A fuel receipt arrives late
Match it against imported transactions and apply it to its purchase date. Update the fuel and cost calculations, and retain an amendment where a previously filed return is affected.
A task is waiting between departments
Follow its report, notification, review, action and completion check. See who has the next step. If a receiving department is outside the selected modules, the owner receives the manual follow-up task.
Give each person the access their work needs.
- Modules by company: Select the work areas your company needs and set access within those modules.
- Role and department permissions: Define what owners, administrators, managers, staff and drivers can see and do according to their responsibilities.

Common questions
What is CarrierFlow TMS?
CarrierFlow is Magellan's transportation management software for US trucking companies. It brings together load planning, dispatch, driver tools, Safety, Fleet, Accounting, company documents, People and Academy. Selected modules share the information needed to move work between teams, with access defined by role.
Can we choose individual modules?
Yes. Choose the departments and workflows your company needs. Magellan then prepares a written proposal setting out the selected modules, users, setup, support and charges. That proposal defines your purchase.
What can drivers do from a phone?
Drivers can accept or decline assignments, update stops, send documents, complete vehicle inspections, read pay statements, sign agreements and open assigned learning through the phone-browser hub. Their permissions determine which information and actions are available to them.
Can CarrierFlow work with our ELD and accounting tools?
The platform includes Motive and Samsara connections, fuel and toll imports, and QuickBooks exports for accounting work. Discuss the provider accounts, information and setup your company needs during the demonstration. Your proposal identifies the connections and services included in your scope.
Who controls AI and access to company information?
The carrier controls role permissions and sets office AI assistance separately from driver AI. Driver controls cover permitted topics, sources and actions, including an option to answer only from approved information in the system. Legal information can be disabled, and any flags or department notifications follow the owner's settings. The carrier remains responsible for its operating decisions and for obtaining any required professional advice.
What happens during a private demonstration?
We walk through the CarrierFlow workflows your team wants to explore, including the tasks, documents and approvals involved. You can discuss the modules, users and setup your company needs before receiving a written proposal.
